Familiar Custom Conjure
The dictionary definition of a familiar is "a demon supposedly attending and obeying a witch, often said to assume the form of an animal." Of course, as witchcraft has become more popular in media and its definition has grown and expanded, and so has our idea of familiars. These days, familiars can be anything from a pet, such as a cat, to a pet rock. Utilizing a spirit companion as your familiar is a way to stay true to the more traditional form of the word, while still allowing yourself to branch out in variety.
Here at The Dragon's Library, we will categorize a familiar as any creature that stays in its animal form (non-shifters) and wishes to contribute its knowledge, energy, and ability to your magic. They will be willing to be tasked to perform various magical duties, as long as it is within their personal comfort zone. A familiar from us is likely to be open to shifting their interests to match yours, as it is their hope to become a magical partner for someone, and they are eager to learn for themselves, but we will aim to find one that aligns most closely with your own practices in the first place. Whether you are a beginner witch just starting to learn or a seasoned practitioner with a great deal of experience under your belt, we hope we can find you a familiar that is well-suited to your needs.
The following are the kinds of familiars available through this listing. These familiars are not highly capable of using language, and they do not come from organized societies. They are more animalistic in nature and tend to feel more like pets in behavior and care. Their magical partnerships generally involve assisting with raising energies and some simple functions like protection or ward-building. Basic Familiars include the following races:
- Miniature Unicorns
- Dragons (Pumpkin, Candle, Flower)
- Black Cat & Black Dog Passed Spirits
- Prism Serpents
- Crystalline Frogs & Warblers
While the nature of your familiar may vary, we will ensure to write you an infosheet that covers all bases and helps you to understand the nature of your new magical partner.
Other, more intelligent species are capable of being magical partners, as well. We recommend taking a look at our other available species if you would like a magical partnership involving long-term planning, spell writing, and the sharing of succinct and knowledgeable advice on your craft.
Please fill out the forms below to the best of your ability. Please keep in mind that I will attempt to conjure a spirit who comes close to your requests, but as we are working with individuals, there may be some variance.
Once I have conjured a familiar close to your specifications, I will notify you of their name and some general information about them. I will then vet them for about a month. The reason for the short vetting period and the discounted price is that a familiar will likely come forward from a pool of spirits in vetting who are deemed "safe" - since I already know them, I know they will be good magical partners. This custom conjure comes with a "Short" infosheet, which will be provided to you in a PDF when the spirit is finished vetting.
