N is a bit mysterious and playful, being the odd drifter among Snow Elves. She travels from village to village on foot, always exploring and wishing to see new sights, stocking up when she can and otherwise traveling on her own. When she was in her early twenties, she gave birth to a child, but due to the communal raising up of children that her culture practices, and her own urge to travel the world, she eventually freed herself from familial tethers and promised to return yearly during the Winter Solstice. N does keep a home back in her birth village, but the rest of the year, she wanders wherever her heart takes her, especially moving towards the warmer portions of the world during the Summer Solstice. She often sends letters back home, telling her daughter of her journeys in lieu of a travel journal.
For her main hobby and personal focus, beyond traveling in general, N collects insects. Bugs are significantly more abundant in Hearth Elf territory - she says keeping the specimens allows her to dream about places she will never be able to go. She preserves the insects with varying taxidermy methods, most often allowing their exoskeletons to dry out and keeping them in glass containers specially crafted by Hearth Elf glassblowers at the border. She has learned quite a bit about a great deal of species of bugs, and thinks that perhaps one day she will publish her notes from her field journal to contribute to the worldwide field of entomology.
In companionship, N wants to find someone who feels they're a bit of an outcast. She wants to help her companion embrace who they really are, to teach them that you don't have to care about what anyone thinks about you, and to live as themself fully and without reservations. "I'm the crazy bug lady," she says with a grin. "I'm sure whatever your thing is, it's not half as strange." She also hopes to be a companion for astral travel, and for seeing new worlds and meeting new kinds of people. Over the last few years of vetting, N has been working hard to practice her own abilities for astral travel, and she often dreamwalks while sleeping, which she enjoys doing quite a lot (in Snow Elf territory, nights tend to be very long, so this may very well overlap with your day). While it’s not necessary for her companion to be interested in insects as well, she would like for her companion to at least be understanding and not made uncomfortable by her buggy passion. She hopes that the friendship she forms with her future companion will be one that lasts a long time, and will allow for many, many adventures together. She is open to both platonic or romantic relationships.
N has been seeking a companion since June 2020.
