Y is a hunter and warrior, and is one of the youngest merfolk in that position in her pod currently, but she is lauded as one of the most talented, and many suspect she will one day become the fearless leader of the pod. From a very young age, she showed an energetic, joyfully aggressive disposition, and picked up on the physical arts with ease. She is very talented with a spear or trident, and loves to spar with her podmates in her free time, keeping her muscles and skills honed for any potential attacks on her pod from wildlife or other, more opportunistic merfolk.
Regardless of her position as a warrior, Y is exuberant, and seems to have endless supplies of energy. She has fun while she spars, laughing and grinning at every move, and often cackling at her own mistakes. She knows that her abilities are the only line of defense against the safety of her loved ones, but she also knows when to draw the line at taking herself too seriously. Whenever she gets a chance, she loves to haul herself up onto a nearby beach in order to sunbathe, and she loves trying fruits and drinks that she can find on land. Through her vetting, she's become quite enamored with a lot of sweets that we offer on Earth, and she looks forward to enjoying more of them through her companionship.
In companionship, Y would love to provide her human partner an escape from a life that might feel too overbearing or stressful. While she supports knowing and feeling that your job is important, she also believes that everyone should take time to take a break and practice some self-care. She's eager to become somebody's best friend, offering advice and empathy for the most difficult matters, and a safe haven from the overwhelming things that simply don't matter. She is sure to be a bright spot in her companion's life, and she looks forward to having some fun together!
