J is a practicing witch, and has spent much of their adult life working on incorporating their spirituality into their everyday life more thoroughly, attempting to make it a priority instead of something they only do when they’re feeling particularly energetic. Part of that process for J has been to decorate their entire home with things that are energetically beautiful or productive, and to incorporate witchcraft into every little thing. They don’t label themselves as a hearth witch or even a practical witch - they simply stir a little magic into their tea every morning, stitch protection sigils into their bags while watching television in the evening, and scribble notes in journals when they see something beautiful and noteworthy. “It’s worth it to me, to make every little thing feel magical. I never want to lose my sense of wonder.”
Beyond their craft, J works at a small bookstore, but they’re always hoping for something a little better. “Maybe I’d like to own my own little metaphysical bookstore someday,” they say. “Or maybe I just want to feel in control of what I’m doing.” In a way, their three nights a month spent as a tiger help them with that feeling of control. They often go on small trips, retreating into the local forests as if they’re camping, and spend a few days roaming through the trees, hunting and scratching trunks as they feel necessary. “Even though I shift back into a human during the day, I mostly take catnaps,” they say with a laugh. “There’s something really gratifying in getting out all your most basic animal instincts, although I do usually prefer returning to my little trailer when I’m done with it all.”
J largely seeks companionship because they want to have an intimate friendship with somebody. They’re not necessarily seeking romance, but they would like to have a close companionship. They seek a friend who they could share everything with to some degree, but to also have a great time with - they’re happy to spend a night in, reading and chatting about your crystal collections, but they’re just as equally happy to go out and see a movie, or try a drink at a small local bar, or even spend an evening picnic watching fireflies. They’re somewhat introverted, and don’t prefer to hang out in large crowds, but they don’t mind being part of a larger spirit family. In companionship, you can expect J to be bright and positive, and eager to chatter about just about anything. They love going to metaphysical stores and bookstores, and they love sharing a conversation over a cup of tea or coffee. They also would love to share their adoration of witchcraft with someone else, and they’re eager to discuss theories, histories, and methods with someone else, if that interests you.
