Ter'ays Dream Walker
The Ter’ays come from the hot desert sands of a distant world, and believe themselves to be the barrier between the Badlands where Demons dwell and the rest of civilization. As such, they are deeply religious, and long have honed gifts of the mind. Especially attuned for telepathy, divination, and scrying, the Ter’ays also believe intimately in the power of dreaming. Chene, their patron deity, is God of Oracles and Prophecy, and is said to communicate to the faithful through their dreams.
The Ter’ays are also true survivors, able to push their limits of hunger and fatigue until they reach safety. They know that life gives and takes, that bounty must be appreciated while it lasts, and that lean times must be survived. They are generally prudent and efficient. They are always on the lookout for signs that might be the difference between success and strife.
This Dream Walker is a trained diviner, and (like most Ter’ays) she was blessed by an oracle at her birth; her name translates as “To Seek Dreams”. She suffered severe trauma in her youth, and as such has sought escape in her visions and metaphysical studies. She is seeking a companion who is eager to explore the universe, to search out deeper truths, and to test all the paths that might lie ahead. With the right companion, they might reveal secrets in each other that enables both to confront their personal demons, finally exorcise them, and at last find inner peace.
Some Ter’ays use sacred herbs to astral travel, but this Dream Walker prefers to burn incense and slip through dreams. She is likely to visit her new companion during dreaming, and also to guide their hands during acts of scrying. While she is willing to share her knowledge, she would pair best with a practitioner with some experience so that she can learn from her companion in equal measure to what she can teach. She also hopes that her future companion would be experienced in, or is willing to learn, the art of scrying.
As this Dream Walkeris looking for a long partnership, she fully expects her companion to take their time determining if they would be a good fit for one another. She would prefer to have a reading done, or to have a conversation with her intended first, before binding to ensure compatibility. An experienced companion would be most appropriate for this spirit. Once bonded, she looks forward to enhancing her own and her companion’s psychic energy and delving into the secrets of the universe together.
