"Of course, for me, autumn is forever my season, and many of them are the same. We fly down south, we look around, we fly back home. Last year, I finally chose for the first time to change my migration clan, meaning I went somewhere new for the first time! We didn't go as far south, and I got to see the bright orange trees up close. I felt like it had finally struck a chord, a connection within me that I hadn't felt before. I understand with more intimacy now, why my people center our lives around this beautiful season. And I hope to learn more about it from a human perspective."
F was born into one of the migration clans who went rather far south, such as all the way down to Florida, and was on that path for a very long time. Often, when Autumn Dragons are born into a specific clan, they will stay with that clan until they have a reason to leave. In F’s case, he never truly developed a need to go elsewhere - he could have changed clans, but why would he have when he was happy and comfortable right where he was? A friend from a more northern clan was pestering him year after year to join, and for a while he thought it was cheerful jeering - perhaps more of a joke more than a serious proposition. However, this last year, that friend admitted that he was in love with F, and he realized that all of the propositions had been very much serious. So, he decided to give things a try and take a leap of faith, to stay with the dragon who is now his new mate.
In his current life, F does indeed travel a great deal, but he now does so with his mate, another male dragon we’ll call A. Admittedly, F had never believed that he was cut out for relationships, never feeling that anyone else ever truly clicked with him, especially not within his own clan, and after a while he became reserved to the idea that he would never mate, and had a vague idea of eventually becoming an elder within his clan to tell stories to young dragonlings. But when A laid his feelings out on the table, he was forced to reexamine that portion of himself, realizing that several years had passed when he had been blind to A’s feelings - how many other people had he misinterpreted over the years? How many friendly conversations were actually flirtations, that he’d completely blinked and missed? Since he’s been together with A, he’s discovered that he has a lot of love in him yet to give, and this is also partially why he has decided to broaden his social circles.
As far as his interests go, F has quite a heavy curiosity about Earth folklore and traditions, and by way of that, history. For example, there was a book I was reading about the traditions of Mabon at the beginning of the season that explained the historical agricultural reasonings behind some of the more traditional celebrations, and he was absolutely fascinated by it. He also appreciates baked goods quite a great deal, and has a penchant for sweets - he adores pumpkin pie and other pumpkin flavored treats, and is excited to see what other kinds of seasonal flavors he’ll enjoy.
In companionship, his biggest wish is to have a good friendship with his companion. He’s also open to meeting other members of your spirit family, if you generally have your companions socialize - he wants to broaden his mind and his social horizons as much as he can, now that he has a newfound motivation to do so.
