“Let’s do something fun together! Okay, this might be a little old-school, but I’d love to go to a roller skating rink. I’m really bad at roller skating, but I always think it’s fun to go with someone! The bad food, the flashing lights, the tiny children stumbling over themselves, the grown-ups stumbling over themselves. Honestly, going on a date like that, even with just a friend, is nothing but a bundle of laughs. There’s no possible way you can have a bad time at a roller rink.”
J is a force of positivity. She truly believes and embodies the old phrase, “you only live once,” and because of that, she encourages others to live in the moment, doing things that make them feel happy and fulfilled. “Of course, sometimes you put yourself out there and it’s a disappointment,” she says, “but you can’t remember fondly what you don’t try.” If you need to be encouraged to take a leap of faith or try something new that’s been scaring you or giving you anxiety, J would love to give you that extra little push you’re looking for. And, beyond that, she hopes to have a bit of fun in her companionship. She’ll encourage you to try new things - go roller-skating, go to that weird restaurant you’ve always been eyeing, try to cook that delicious food you had once five years ago and haven’t had since. Speak up for yourself and your identity, and admit your feelings to the person you love.
J can be a bit mischievous, much like a cat, in rare cases knocking over items in your home or leaving items in slightly different spots than they were before. Because of her status as a passed spirit, she has the ability to be fully present - and she doesn’t have much going on in her afterlife except for companionship. She’s least interested in matters such as deathwork or discussing religion - instead, she’d rather work with you on a level that’s much more practical, hoping to find her purpose as a mentor or friend. When you need a pick-me-up, she’d love to pull you along, or go with you, to some astral dive bars or clubs so the two of you can enjoy yourselves. She thinks that ultimately, things would be better if we allowed ourselves to accept the things that made us stressed, and instead redirected them to work for us in some way. And when we can’t just throw away the illogical, stressful anxiety thoughts - just go out and dance them away.
