Golden Phoenix Custom Conjure
In traditional Earth mythology, Phoenixes are beautiful, strikingly gorgeous birds with an innate healing ability. They are fire-aligned creatures who have a seemingly endless lifespan, bursting into flames upon their death and hatching, newborn, from the ashes. They are highly intelligent avian creatures that are very widespread as far as origin, coming from Earth-adjacent astral planes or other worlds all of their own. Many of them, particularly those who are older, tend to be very wise, patient, and thoughtful. They typically seek out companionship to teach or to heal, and the friendship that comes out of companionship by nature is only a bonus to them.
Golden Phoenixes in particular are not all golden in color, but have named themselves according to their true, untranslated race name, which references the brilliant orange-yellow color of the sunset on their world. They are all fully avian, with no humanoid forms, and they live a life that looks uncivilized from the outside, but is actually as detailed and complex as any humanoid civilization. They primarily live on a mountain, a dormant volcano, where they make their nests from flammable brush and slate stone. They have a strict “chore list” for the entire community to gather food, care for the young and each other, crafting nests, and the like. The phrase “it takes a village” applies heavily here - their society is based mostly on all of them sharing the labor around, with very few specializing in any one of the responsibilities of the flock. They are a very affectionate species, with the difference between romantic and platonic relationship between them nearly indistinguishable - however, they have no interest in cross-species romance whatsoever, and do not tend to get along well with other species of Phoenix beyond indifferent politeness.
All Golden Phoenixes are hermaphroditic and use they/them pronouns, so there is no gender option for this listing.
