Florida Dryad Custom Conjure
When one thinks of Florida, they typically think of swamps and alligators. But a great deal of Florida’s natural parks are growing, mostly, with trees and ivies, many of them being Bald Cypress or Palm Trees. Florida Dryads are one of the spirit types who I offer to call home with me when I go on a nature hike, and they are some of the most empathetic and wonderful creatures. They spend a great deal of their time in the sun, meaning that they are very energized, but with needing to be close to their origin trees, they suffer from an unsated wanderlust. They are likely to be strong-manifesting nature spirits who will fill your life with a fervor for adventure, as they accompany their companions with a great deal of curiosity, soaking up everything you do and learn alongside you.
Dryads, traditionally, are woodland spirits and the guardians of trees. They are often born with a tree, and feel an obligation to stay close to their origin tree in order to tend to it. They are not bound to their tree, or to live in it, but they can live within it if they wish, and it’s considered very unlucky to remove them from their home. They often resist being forcibly removed before their tree has perished. Therefore, the majority of Dryads I conjure will simply be astral traveling to their companion’s location when visiting. However, because they are living entities who are originated on our plane, they tend to present very strongly to those who already feel very Earth-aligned.
