I’ll help you understand exactly how my healing sessions work, and how I suggest you approach the healing from your own perspective. What should I expect?
Energy healing presents itself differently from everyone, and the experience you have will vary depending on the match between you and the particular energy healer. For some, they can feel the manipulation of energy very potently during the work, sometimes having visions or feeling physical touch even over long distances. For others, they may feel nothing at all. It’s important to enter a healing session with few expectations regarding what you may feel during the experience.
Following the healing session, you can expect to feel well-rested, but slightly tired, as if you just finished up a yoga class or a massage. Depending on the length of the session, your grogginess may vary. The changes you feel regarding the healing may be subtle or obtuse, depending on your individual situation. It may take a few days for the healing to really settle in, or you may notice a change in your attitude or outlook right away. The experience can vary widely from person to person, so keep that in mind going in.
Why choose distance energy healing?
Energy healing has been around since the beginning of human civilization, and simply refined and redefined through the millenia. While energy healing at one point was our primary medical practice, it should never be utilized as a replacement for traditional medicine. In fact, when a healer is going through proper training we are taught to never proffer a medical diagnosis. However, energy healing does have its uses outside of that.
Those of us who are energy sensitive or work with the spiritual a great deal are constantly collecting and sensing both positive and negative energies. Our astral bodies are much more malleable than our physical ones, and they function like sponges - they can soak up negativity and hold onto it if not maintained properly. This is part of the reason why beginner witches and psychics are taught to be constantly grounding, cleansing, and warding themselves - these things are necessary in order to maintain a healthy astral body. Sometimes, though, we can experience trauma or we can produce the negative energies from within ourselves, creating a situation where perhaps we are too exhausted or frustrated to perform even basic cleansing duties on ourselves.
Having a surplus of negative energy in our astral bodies can create a myriad of problems. It creates anxieties and cyclical negative thoughts. It can block our communication with other humans, and with our own spirit companions and guides. It can cause nightmares to surface. And generally, it can create lethargy, an indifference to daily occurrences, a “fuzziness” of the brain or, specifically, the sixth sense, and a general lack of energy and motivation. (Please keep in mind that all of these can also be symptoms for clinical depression - if you suspect you have it, energy healing can help in accordance with, but will not be a replacement for, traditional therapy and medicine.)
By seeking out energy healing, you allow someone to take the work out of maintaining your astral body for a period of time. It’s simply like taking a car to the mechanic to get the oil changed instead of doing it yourself. It’s not a permanent solution - after receiving an energy healing, after a period of time you will either have to come back, or take the time and energy to perform the maintenance on yourself. It also is something that can be highly transformative, but sometimes it literally just is performing maintenance to make you feel better overall. If you haven’t performed maintenance on your astral body for a while, a short healing session may help you to feel generally more refreshed, and provide you with that extra pep that you need to get back on your feet.
Distance energy healing is useful in particular for this energetic maintenance, as distance energy healing works primarily on your astral body, rather than your physical one. The work done on your astral body may affect your physical body in some ways, but should not be heavily expected to. Distance healing also allows you the convenience of staying and relaxing in your own home and to hand-pick a healer for yourself, rather than finding a metaphysical store that will book you with whatever energy healers they happen to have in that day. Please keep in mind that, like a massage, energy healing is always a luxury, never a necessity. You should not spend your last $20 on a quick energy healing with the hopes that it will improve your life drastically overnight, and anyone who claims that you should is swindling you. However, if you have the means to gift yourself an energy healing session, it can be pleasantly refreshing, relaxing, and take your own energetic troubles off your hands for a little while.
Why make an appointment for a distance healing?
Some energy healers are fine with working on their clients as they are going through their daily life, indiscriminate of a scheduled time. However, as someone with a background of in-person energy healing, I believe that the time taken to lay down, listen to meditative music, and allow yourself to be worked on with no expectation for yourself is part of the therapeutic process.
Unlike a personal session where you may be actively focusing on meditating or astral traveling, just relaxing during a healing session allows you to let your mind drift without punishment. You could even fall asleep without negative consequences, if your body finds it needs it. Overall, having this lack of pressure on yourself for a set period of time is an important factor of the healing process, and will only assist in your progress.
What is your healing process like?
Part of the beauty of the wide world of energy healing is that each practitioner has a different approach. My personal approach is eclectic, coming from a mixture of healing, religious, and spiritual backgrounds. I have been certified in Reiki healing, I have been trained by a master of Pranic healing, and I have been taught by various dragon spirits in their methods of energy healing, as well. I have performed eclectic energy healing in my home since about 2015, developing my methods and approaches as I worked on friends, family, and clients. Therefore, my distance healing itself pulls from many backgrounds.
Generally for a distance session, I will lay out stones corresponding to the energy centers of the body on a clean white mat. Nearby I will have a bowl of sun-blessed natron water, pulling from my background as being trained in Pranic healing and my own personal Kemetic Orthodox practices, in which to deposit negative energies to be cleansed and returned to the universe. I will also have nearby a smoke cleansing agent - sage or palo santo, usually - as well as burning incense with cleansing properties, typically Japanese incense for purity purposes. Finally, I also have nearby a burning candle for me to draw energy from when necessary, and to re-light my smoke cleansing agent as necessary.
When performing my healing, I will be only working on your astral, or aetheric body - as I have no way to connect to your physical body over a distance, I cannot affect your physical body, but you may feel some differences in your physical body as a result of the healing done on the astral body. My goal as a healer is to remove the negative and stale energy from your astral body, and then to charge and energize it with pure, healthy energy. Typically in a session I will start by analyzing and generally cleansing all of your energy centers, and then I will go into further detail as far as cleaning up and healing what is necessary depending on the length of the session. Throughout a healing session I will move from your root to your crown several times, ensuring that all of your energy centers are working in tandem with each other and that your astral body is allowing energy to flow through it in a healthy way with no blockages. The longer a session is, the better I am able to cleanse, clear, and heal negative energies.
Before your healing session:
Be sure to check your email the morning of the session, as I will send you a message reminding you of our appointment and providing a link to a relaxing meditative music YouTube video that you can listen to during the session.
You may listen to the music through speakers or headphones - I find that one or the other won’t change much, but ensure the headphones are comfortable for you and your attention won’t be drawn to them during the session. I will also be playing the music in my healing room as I work, to align our spaces energetically as much as possible.
As your appointment time approaches, ready the following:
Put on clothing that is comfortable and unrestrictive, such as something you might wear to bed.
Make sure that the device you are using to play the meditative music is properly charged or plugged in.
Ensure that you are somewhere safe and comfortable, such as your home or your bedroom, where you run very little risk of interruptions.
Find somewhere you can comfortably sit or lay flat for the entire length of your session (for sessions longer than 20 minutes, I highly recommend laying down if at all possible).
Feel free to make yourself as comfortable as possible, whether that means laying a blanket over yourself or using a pillow anywhere. If sitting, please sit with a straight back, palms open and relaxed in your lap and either cross-legged, or sitting on a chair where the soles of your feet comfortably hit the ground. If laying down, please lay on your back with your legs out straight and your arms relaxed at your sides or lain comfortably on your stomach. There is no trouble with shifting and moving during your session, but these positions are likely to be most therapeutic and allow for the best flow of energy for me to sense and manipulate for the purposes of your healing.
If you choose to listen to the music provided for your session, you can comfortably assume that your session will be over when the music ends. If you choose not to, I recommend setting an alarm with a gentle sound for the time your healing is scheduled to end to bring you out of the session and ground yourself.
If for any reason you are unable to perform all of your preparations beforehand, please let me know as soon as possible by email and I will accommodate accordingly.
During your healing session:
Your session will begin within one minute of our scheduled time, so please be prepared at the exact time of your session.
You do not have to do anything during your healing session except relax, and let the experience play out.
If you need something for your mind to do during the healing, simply pay attention to your breath and the flow of energy in and out of your body. You may feel warmth, tingling, pressure, and some discomfort in various spots of your body throughout your experience. However, as mentioned above in “What should I expect?,” there is no guarantee you will feel any of these things, so be gentle on yourself by way of expectation.
After your healing session:
When your music ends or your alarm goes off, you may open your eyes. Be gentle and slow with yourself, and stretch your muscles slowly and carefully. In order to fully ground yourself back in reality, I recommend drinking a small glass of water and having a small, bland snack, such a few Saltines, lemon or shortbread cookies, plain toast, plain applesauce, or something else that is mild in taste and texture. If you do not have snack food available, water alone will do.
Once the healing is finished, I will send you an email describing what I experienced, and list any areas of concern.
For the next 24 hours, pay attention to what you feel has improved or gotten worse in regards to your own emotional wellbeing, and how you feel physically. Pay attention to if any of your psychic abilities have shifted in how they feel. Energy healing can sometimes take a little while for your energetic and physical bodies to process. For the best results, drink as much water and/or tea as you can over the next several days, and take it easy. Try to avoid stressful situations as best you can.
